Terms of Service
Effective October 8, 2026. Updated October 11, 2026.
- Homing is software that helps you withdraw crypto from your own Kraken account to your own wallet. We never hold your crypto.
- You choose and approve every transfer. Crypto transfers can't be reversed.
- You're responsible for your Kraken account, your wallet, and checking your addresses.
- Homing is in beta, provided as is, and isn't financial advice.
1. These terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Thornwood Digital, of Pleasant Grove, Utah ("Homing", "we", "us"), for your use of the Homing website and app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. What Homing is, and isn't
Homing is a non-custodial software tool. It uses an API key you create in your own Kraken account to show your balances and to ask Kraken to withdraw funds to wallet addresses you saved in your Kraken account and confirmed in Homing.
- We never take possession, custody or control of your crypto. Transfers go directly from Kraken to your wallet.
- We can't send your funds anywhere except addresses saved in your Kraken account, and we can't initiate a transfer without your approval at that moment.
- We don't buy, sell, exchange or trade digital assets, and we don't hold money for anyone.
- We don't provide investment, financial, tax or legal advice. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation.
- Price alerts report Kraken's last-trade price as of our latest check (about every 30 seconds). They can arrive late, miss a quick move, or not arrive at all, and they aren't a suggestion to buy or sell. Don't rely on them for time-sensitive decisions.
- We're not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kraken (Payward), Tangem or any wallet maker.
3. Who can use Homing
You may use the Service only if you are at least 18, a resident of the United States, and not a resident of a state where we don't offer the Service (currently California and New York). You may not use it if you are on a US sanctions list, are located in a sanctioned country or region, or are acting for someone who is. You must use the Service only for your own Kraken account and your own wallets, and not on behalf of anyone else. During the beta, access is by invitation.
4. Your account and security
- You sign in with a passkey. Keep your devices, passkeys, recovery key and any vault passphrase secure. Anyone who has them may be able to access your account.
- Your Kraken key is encrypted on your device. We can't recover your recovery key or passphrase if you lose them. If you lose every way to unlock your vault, you'll need to create a new Kraken key and set Homing up again.
- Tell us right away at support@gethoming.app if you think your account has been compromised. You can disconnect Kraken in Settings and delete the API key at Kraken at any time.
- The information you give us must be accurate, including your state of residence.
5. Your Kraken account and API key
Your relationship with Kraken is governed by Kraken's own terms, which you're responsible for following. You authorize Homing to use the API key you provide to read your balances and saved withdrawal addresses and to submit the withdrawals you approve. Kraken decides whether and when to process a withdrawal and charges its own fees, which Homing shows you before you approve. We're not responsible for Kraken's actions, fees, limits, delays, holds, outages or errors, or for changes to Kraken's services that affect Homing.
6. Transfers are your responsibility
- Before confirming an address in Homing, check that it matches your wallet exactly, including the network and any destination tag or memo.
- Review every transfer before approving it. Once Kraken sends a transfer, it can't be reversed, recalled or refunded by us.
- We aren't liable for losses from sending to a wrong address or network, from a compromised device or wallet, or from your Kraken account settings.
- You're responsible for any taxes that apply to your transactions and for keeping your own records.
7. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service. That includes: breaking the law or helping others break it; using it for anyone else's funds; trying to get around eligibility rules (for example with a VPN); probing, attacking or overloading our systems; reverse engineering it except as the law allows; or interfering with other users.
8. Fees
A Homing license is $200 for the first year and $100 for each year after. For now we collect it by Venmo request before your invite is sent, and your license year starts the day you sign up. Accounts that joined during the free beta stay free until we tell you otherwise, at least 30 days ahead. We'll always tell you the price before you're charged, and you can choose not to renew. Homing fees are charged in US dollars, never deducted from your crypto. Kraken's withdrawal fees and network fees are separate and set by Kraken.
9. Beta service, changes and availability
Homing is a beta. Features may change, and the Service may be unavailable at times. We may modify, suspend or stop the Service, or your access, at any time, including if we believe you've broken these Terms, to protect you or others, or to comply with the law. You can stop using Homing and delete your account at any time.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, THAT BALANCES, PRICES OR FEES SHOWN ARE ACCURATE OR CURRENT, OR THAT ANY TRANSFER WILL BE COMPLETED. DIGITAL ASSETS ARE VOLATILE AND CARRY RISK.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, HOMING AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DIGITAL ASSETS, PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Homing against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of law or anyone else's rights.
13. Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days. Any claim not resolved that way must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Everything else
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them in connection with a sale or reorganization of the Service. Questions: support@gethoming.app.
